What Happenin' is

Happenin’ is a local discovery app for Providence, RI that surfaces restaurant and bar specials, community events, and crowd-sourced vibe reports. It is currently a pilot — features may change, data may be incomplete or incorrect, and the app may experience downtime without notice.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Happenin’. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your account secure. We use magic-link email sign-in — do not forward sign-in links to others.
• One account per person. Do not create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge.
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@happenin.app.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable use

When using Happenin’ you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or malicious vibe drop reports
• Attempt to manipulate venue ratings or game the vibe system
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute app data without our permission
• Attempt to access accounts, servers, or data that are not yours
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Impersonate any person, venue, or organization

User-submitted content

When you submit a vibe drop (Crowd / Music / Wait ratings), you grant Happenin’ a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that data in aggregated, anonymous form. You represent that:

• The ratings reflect your honest, firsthand experience
• You are not submitting reports on behalf of any venue or competitor

We reserve the right to remove any submitted content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these terms or degrades the quality of the app.

Specials and events accuracy

Specials and event information in Happenin’ is provided for convenience only. We make no guarantee that listings are current, complete, or accurate. Always confirm specials directly with the venue before visiting. Happenin’ is not responsible for any inconvenience or loss resulting from inaccurate listings.

Intellectual property

The Happenin’ name, logo, design, and original content are owned by the Happenin’ team and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without our prior written permission. Venue names, addresses, and other factual data are not our intellectual property.

Disclaimer of warranties

Happenin’ is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use the app at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Happenin’ and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to damages for lost profits, lost data, or personal injury — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app will not exceed $100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Providence, Rhode Island, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email.
